Snow Reporter Comments: Late-season fun continues at Solitude! We’ve picked up 7 inches of snow in the last two days, including an inch overnight. Additional snow showers are possible today under cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-30s. Put on your shell and pack an extra energy bar — the incoming snow has been heavy and wet. Even better, visit the buffet at St. Bernard’s to power up for your day on the slopes. Last night temperatures dropped below freezing, leaving us with variable conditions. We currently have over 50 trails open, more than 20 of which are groomed. Summit Express is expected to close for the season soon. With fresh snow on the ground, now is a great time to make some final laps in Headwall Forest and Dynamite before Summit closes. Celebrate Pride at Solitude with free laps through the NASTAR course from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today. The course will be lined with Pride flags as we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
Located just 12 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Solitude Mountain Resort feels different than other resorts...looser, less crowded somehow. Solitude has over 1,200 acres of skiable terrain, ranging from groomed runs to powder glades and Nordic trails.
Solitude also offers a variety of lodging options and dining choices. The mountain averages 500 inches of snowfall per year.
Where Is Solitude Mountain Ski Resort Located?
This Utah ski resort is located 34 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), which is serviced by most major airlines. Once you get into the city, you can rent a car or find space on a one of the shuttles that goes to the resort. You can also take advantage of the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) standard or ski bus service.
