Snow Reporter Comments: Forget those memes about Fool’s Spring, False Spring, and Spring of Deception, it’s totally spring up here — just ask the robins. After receiving 5 inches of snow earlier this week, we are now looking at blue skies and sunshine for the foreseeable future. Temperatures will be in the mid-30s today and will rise over the next few days and through the weekend. Last night we experienced a partial refreeze but nothing that will prevent melty and slushy conditions over much of the mountain today. Most of our terrain gates are currently closed due to warm snow. Buckeye Junior and Powderhorn gates remain open for sightseers and corn seekers. On the front side of the mountain, our grooming crew is laying down corduroy on 30 to 35 trails nightly. Check out our mountain status page to see where the cats have been recently.
